Years ago, I sat with an educator in a staffroom who told me she felt like she was failing in her role within childcare. She had her Diploma and had completed the necessary training, but no one had ever guided her through what good practice actually looks like on a daily basis. She struggled to transition a room of tired children from lunch to rest, to intervene gently when a colleague's tone shifted, and to document her reflective practice without losing an hour of her day.
She wasn't failing; she was unsupported.
That conversation is why I started SOAR, a program focused on providing coaching services and mentoring programs for educators.
